My name is Stephane Allinquant. I'm a Strategic Interventionist/Strategic Life Coach who's been helping people attain their most desired goals while solving personal, career, and relationship challenges for over 16 years personally and 4 years professionally. As a Strategic Life Coach, I specialize in identifying and eliminating challenges standing in the way of my clients’ goals. I maintain a private practice in Long Beach, CA, and in Northern Virginia, working with a spectrum of clients from all walks of life and all over the world.
I began my practice out of a passion for helping others find happiness and success in their own lives as well as a natural affinity for problem solving and identifying deeply rooted challenges. I studied under one of the best coaches in the world, Tony Robbins, to refine and excel within my craft. In addition to my formal training, I have read over 160 books in the areas of personal development, relationships, career guidance, Life Passions, and Human Needs, to name a few, for a well-rounded understanding of every life challenge.
I chose to receive my main Coaching Certification from the Robbins-Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention in 2013 because I wanted to refine my coaching skills to coach people and get the results Tony Robbins had achieved with his clients, no matter their situation and no matter the challenge. I am a huge follower of Tony Robbins, who has helped shape my career and my personality. I continue to attend a yearly bootcamp to learn new strategies and refine my skills as a coach.
My Strategic Interventionist Coach training has provided me with the tools and strategies needed to not only fully understand my clients’ needs and challenges, but also to help them reach a higher level of personal fulfillment in their daily lives. I have also received education in coaching through MAPS Coaching and through BOLD (Business Objective: A Life by Design). I have also studied Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP). Having studied different forms of coaching and fully adopting Strategic Intervention, I can handle any challenge a client faces as well as successfully assist clients to attain any desired goal.
A PERSONAL STORY - HOW IT ALL BEGAN FOR ME
I began my coaching career at the age of 31, I have never felt more fulfilled. This is because my story about how I became a life coach is like the story of most people who reach their life’s purpose—through a lot of trial and error.
I wasn’t a straight-A student and almost didn't graduate high school. I had applied to one college but never sent in my final paper and thus never went to a large university. Instead, I went to a community college in Maryland and studied Political Science and Psychology for three years while also working. Eventually, I dropped out of college, due to the fact that I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I began working small jobs with no direction, no ambition, and no passion for what I was doing. My frustrations grew into anxiety and depression, and soon I was just plain lost.
In my mid-twenties, I decided to do some serious self-help to find my purpose. I had always been interested in self-help and learning about ways to improve myself. However, it wasn't until my mid-twenties that I got serious. Small jobs became government contracting jobs. Yet these positions were temporary, lasting only a few months, and my passion for what I was doing just wasn’t there.
One day, I picked up the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad and it completely inspired me to take a huge leap of faith and go into business for myself in real estate. I was a realtor for five years during the recession and actually did very well for myself and felt passionate about what I was doing. After having been in real estate for roughly three years, some new real estate agents asked me how I had become so successful in my career. That was when I began coaching professionally.
At first, I coached agents on their businesses, but right away I saw that most of the agents had no issues determining what step they needed to follow next to be successful. It was actually their motivations and other personal challenges that kept them from progressing. Thus, I began coaching these agents on their personal development. That spread to their relationships and then even to whether they wanted to really be in real estate. Without formal training, I just had a natural talent for guiding people towards their goals, as well as the ability to see what in their lives wasn’t working and causing them to feel stuck and hindered. I loved coaching, but it was just something I was doing on the side at a deeply, deeply discounted rate.
Well, after a couple of months, my motivation for real estate began to run out. I didn't know why at first. I began slacking and having issues with my work, which spread to other parts of my life. I grew frustrated, because I had truly believed that I had found my passion and career path. It was when I realized I was doing more for coaching than I was for real estate that I started thinking that coaching could be made into a career. After all, I was still passionate about and excited to work with my clients.
What really made me think I could be a professional coach was when one of my agent clients reached out to me about their son, who was about to enter college. He was lost, had no idea what he wanted to do with his life, and was going through anxiety, depression, and approach-avoidance for the things he had to do before leaving for college. With only this agent’s confidence in me to help her son, I decided to try and help him, using the same principles I was using to help agents. Long story short, I was able to aid this young man within a month to determine his passion in life, which he hadn’t pursued simply due to a misguided belief he had adopted years earlier. This opened the path towards helping him decide to pursue his dream and like magic, his challenges, anxiety, and depression vanished.
I decided in early 2013 to finally take a second leap of faith and go into coaching full time. Now, even though I was gaining the results I wanted with the agents and this young man, I knew that I needed some formal coaching training. That was when I discovered Strategic Intervention, after searching for a program to teach me what Tony Robbins accomplishes as a coach. The rest is history...
